Mario's rise to this level of the sport has been brief. Just five years ago, he was kart racing in his native Brazil, before finishing fourth in U.S. Formula Renault. Two years of South American Formula Renault, in which he finished runner-up in 2006, led to last year's season in British Formula 3 with top outfit Carlin Motorsport.
Should Moraes get a podium finish this year, he won't be able to legally sample the champagne.
