A largely idle 2007 was poor reward for Jay Howard, who, driving for Sam Schmidt Motorsports captured the previous year's Indy Pro Series crown in the closest points battle in series history. Now at Roth Racing, the 26-year-old Briton has a chance to impress everyone with the road course and oval talents he displayed two years ago.
Jay, who had always targeted a move to America, took victory in his first-ever race on U.S. soil, a Formula Ford event at Infineon Raceway.
